+Historic Characters...

Watch History Come to Life!

What makes history interesting?  People!

Yesteryear's unique approach presents some of the most interesting characters of the past, dressed in the type of clothing they might have worn, often based on photographs of the characters. We sometimes use books and movies as our basis.  Some recent examples of multi-decade shows:

Destination: Tahoe (1840-1970)

Downton Abbey Farewell (1912-1925)

Flowers & Fashions (1860-1960s)

Sports & Leisure Lakeside (1900-1960s)

Tahoe’s Mansion Era (1880-1850s)

Queens of England (1860s-1960s)

Wedding: Fashionable Brides (1890-1960s)

Women of the Gold Country (1840-1930s)

YESTERYEAR SIERRA

Grass Valley * Nevada City * Lake Tahoe

Yesteryear Sierra offers Historic Vintage Fashion Shows with models wearing original clothing from over 100 years of history - going all the way back to 1840.      A variety of show titles are available, or we can customize a show just for you!

What makes Yesteryear Sierra shows special? Quality. Authenticity. Detail. Fun!

A 2,000-piece collection including gowns, hats, jewelry - even wigs and props - enables us to present entire ensembles. We never forget that all vintage fashions started out as new and exciting - and we share that excitement with audiences!

Our fashion shows are presented on live models.  We feel that this shows the clothing as it was meant to be seen, and makes audiences realize that these are real people in real clothes – not costumes on a stage or in a museum. And since historic characters come in all ages, so do our models! We often feature models who are members of the sponsoring group, and are open to models up to size 12.

We offer several types of fashion shows.

-Size: Small, Medium or Large

(depending on the number of outfits)

-Multi-Decade vs One Era

-Fashion Only vs Historic Characters
