Historic Vintage Fashion Shows feature characters from the past. Whose past? Your past! Women from Nevada County history, and women who were pioneers in other ways. Even founding members of your club!

"It's not just a fashion show - it's history!" Many of our clients and audience members have said this, and it's true - in a nice way! We combine clothes with context - the meaning behind the fashions. Who wore these clothes? What was their world like? The answers are fascinating!

We often do our shows as fundraisers for nonprofit organizations, or as part of the public programs for historic houses - even working in the history of the sponsoring organization itself. Every show is custom.

Our Story
​
Yesteryear Sierra presents historic vintage fashion shows featuring museum-quality pieces from the famous collection of the late Deborah Rush. Our name honors her Fashions of Yesteryear, which delighted Bay Area audiences for 25 years.
Cherie Oliver continues Deborah’s mission, bringing the beauty and meaning of vintage fashion to wider audiences. Cherie's husband Wally Oliver models his collection as well. Since 2012, we have presented over 20 shows benefiting Sierra Foothills community nonprofits.
